The Cytology Cloverleaf Lids are used to recap Thin Prep Vials when using the Roche Cobas 4800 System. This allows the lab to dispose of the initial patient cap when setting up the instrument and recap with a new one to eliminate the risk of cross contamination of lids and jars when testing for high-risk HPV (Human Papillomavirus), individual HPV 16 & HPV 18 genotype testing for cervical cancers.
